TRANSLATION OF THE LESSON (पाठ का हिन्दी अनुवाद)
Little Mini ……………… five-year-old.
हिन्दी अनुवाद- मिनी पाँच साल की छोटी बच्ची थी और बहुत बातूनी थी। वह हर समय बिना बातें किए नहीं रह सकती थी। उसकी माँ मिनी के लगातार बोलते रहने पर अक्सर चिंता करती थीं और उसे चुप कराने का प्रयत्न भी करती थीं। उसकी (मिनी) अपने पिता से हमेशा बड़ी रोचक बातचीत होती थी।
एक दिन, मिनी अपने पिता के अध्ययन कक्ष में चली गई। उसने अपनी बाँहों में अपने पिता को पकड़कर कहा,
आप क्या मानते हैं, पिताजी? भोलू कहता है कि बादलों में एक हाथी है जो अपनी सँड से पानी फेंकता है और इसलिए वर्षा होती है। उसके पिता के उत्तर देने से पहले ही वह खिड़की की ओर दौड़ी, “ऐ काबुलीवाला! ऐ काबुलीवाला!”
मिनी ने काबुलीवाला को बुलाया परन्तु जब उसने मिनी की तरफ देखा, वह डर रही थी और अपने पिता की तरफ भागी। उसने सुन रखा था कि काबुलीवाले बच्चों को पकड़ते थे, अपने बोरों में भरते थे और उन्हें ले जाते थे। काबुलीवाला मिनी के घर आया और उसके पिताजी ने ठान लिया कि मिनी बाहर आए और उससे मिले। जल्द ही मिनी का डर चला गया और बहुत अच्छा लगता था एक बड़े दाढ़ीवाले पठान को एक पाँच साल की छोटी बच्ची से कोमलता से बातें करते देखना।

हिन्दी अनुवाद- अब काबुलीवाला मिनी के घर में रोज़ आने लगा। वे दोनों बैठते और घंटो बाते करते और एक-दूसरे को चुटकुले सुनाते थे।
| साल में एक बार रहमान (काबुलीवाला) अपने देश वापस जाता था। जाने से पहले, उससे जिन लोगों ने उधार लिया । होता था, वह उनसे पैसा इकट्ठा करता था। रहमान व्यस्त होते हुए भी हमेशा मिनी से मिलने का समय ढूँढ लेता था।एक दिन गली में बहुत शोर मचा हुआ था। जिस आदमी से रहमान ने पैसा लेना था, रहमान ने उसे छुरा घोंप दिया था। इस अपराध के लिए उसे जेल भेज दिया गया।
समय बीतता गया और मिनी अपने पुराने दोस्त काबुलीवाला को भूल गई। वह बड़ी होकर एक बहुत सुंदर लड़की बनी। उसके पिता ने उसकी शादी का प्रबंध किया।
मिनी की उस रात शादी थी। उसके पिता जब तैयारियों में व्यस्त थे, एक आदमी उनके पास आया और आदरपूर्वक अभिवादन किया। पहले तो वे उस आदमी को नहीं पहचाने। जल्द ही वह जान गए कि वह रहमान, काबुलीवाला, है। मिनी के पिता ने बताया कि शादी की रस्में चल रही हैं और वह किसी और दिन आए।

मिनी के पिता अपने आँसू नहीं रोक सके उन्होंने महसूस किया कि काबुलीवाला भी एक पिता था। उन्होंने मिनी को बुलाया, जो दुल्हन के कपड़े पहने बाहर आई । काबुलीवाला यह देखकर कि जिस छोटी बच्ची को वह जानता था अब इतनी सुंदर लड़की बनकर बड़ी हो गई है, वह हैरान हो गया। उसने महसूस किया कि उसी अपनी बेटी भी बड़ी हो चुकी होगी और इतना सोचकर रोने लगा। मिनी के पिता ने कुछ धन निकाला और रहमान को देकर कहा, “जाओ और अपनी बेटी को जाकर मिलो और मेरी प्रार्थना है कि तुम्हें सारी खुशियाँ मिलें ।”
मिनी के पिता को शादी के खर्च कम करने पड़े। वे मिलिट्री बैण्ड और लाइटें नहीं लगवा सके परन्तु वह प्रसन्न थे कि उनके पैसों से एक पिता को उसकी बेटी से सालों बाद मिलने का अवसर मिला।
